The Westcare Early Learning Centre (ELC) in Port Adelaide is a purpose-built facility designed to provide quality education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. This family-owned service is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment that feels like an extension of a child’s home, supporting their transition with a strong focus on wellbeing and enrichment.

Situated alongside a café, gym, and the nearby Trinity Medical Centre, Westcare ELC offers families convenience and access to comprehensive community services, including a GP clinic, medical specialists, and allied health services such as physiotherapy and psychology.

Workspace proudly collaborated on this project, supplying premium furniture solutions tailored to meet the needs of this innovative and family-focused learning environment. Our contribution reflects our commitment to creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that enhance daily life.

We are thrilled to have partnered with RMIT University for a complete refurbishment of their Staff Hub, supplying a range of stylish and functional loose furniture that perfectly complements the dynamic educational environment. Collaborating closely with Spowers, the project architects, we've successfully transformed the existing building space into a modern, vibrant staff hub that promotes productivity and comfort. This project highlights our commitment to delivering high-quality, custom furniture solutions tailored to the unique needs of educational institutions.

Workspace Commercial Furniture proudly supplied a range of exquisite furniture for the St Francis de Sales Chapel at St John Bosco College. The chapel features our elegantly designed Wes Chairs, providing comfortable and aesthetically pleasing seating for congregants. Complementing these are our A-Bench seating solutions, offering versatile and sturdy options for various uses within the chapel. Additionally, the cozy and inviting Felix Lounge Chair adds a touch of luxury and comfort, making the chapel a serene and welcoming space for all visitors. Each piece has been carefully selected and crafted to enhance the chapel’s tranquil and reflective environment.

The newly completed Flinders University City Campus stands as a testament to modern educational design, innovation, and collaborative success. At Workspace Commercial Furniture, we are proud to have played a pivotal role in this transformative project, marking a significant achievement in our century-long history of Australian manufacturing and design excellence.

The Flinders University City Campus project presented a unique set of challenges, from designing furniture that meets the diverse needs of today's learners to installation across 8 floors within the dedicated timeline.

Working closely with Architectus, Built., and Walker Corporation, it was evident that collaboration and innovation were at the heart of Flinders University's vision for their City Campus.

Architectus embarked on a journey to understand the essence of the university's needs, engaging our expertise in bespoke furniture solutions, which allowed us to craft furniture that would not only look beautiful but also foster engagement and creativity.

Executive Suite TAFE SA

In partnership with Co Design Construct, we are so proud to have supplied furniture and workstations for the innovative office redesign of TAFE SA's Executive Suite.

This contemporary transformation retains the essence of the original construction while seamlessly ushering the space into the modern age. Notably, a pre-existing artwork representing First Nations people that adorned the Light Square entrance has been thoughtfully extended onto the façade of the Executive Suite, inviting visitors into the space.

The hues from this artwork have been tastefully integrated into the materials and finishes of the public entrance, forging a harmonious link from the threshold.

UniSA Enterprise Hub

During 2020, UniSA enlisted the expertise of Swanbury Penglase to embark on a transformative journey, reinventing 9 Light Square, Adelaide into a dynamic and innovative workplace hub.

Boasting a storied past in the west end of the city, 9 Light Square holds a fascinating history, having served as a skins and hides warehouse, the renowned 'Dutch Club,' the vibrant Le Rox Nightclub, and the captivating Night Train Theatre Restaurant over the years.

We are proud to have supplied key items of furniture for the prestigious UniSA Enterprise Hub project. Working alongside the talented teams at Hansen Yuncken and Swanbury Penglase.

Swanbury Penglase Architects were the visionaries behind the design, creating a space that inspired creativity, productivity, and teamwork for UniSA’s forward-thinking community. As experts in providing top-quality furniture, Workspace Commercial Furniture was pleased to support their vision, ensuring the hub became a beacon of innovation and collaboration. 

Leading the project was UniSA, serving as the Project Managers, to bring the project to life.

The new project is a seamless blend of form and function, designed to inspire creativity, foster collaboration, and support student success. We believe that the right environment can make all the difference in a student's learning journey, and we can't wait to see the impact this new environment will have.

ICHM Campus Adelaide

ICHM Campus Adelaide

Workspace recently worked with designer, Liquid Design, and project managers, TRICE, on the development of the ICHM Campus in the Adelaide CBD.

ICHM deliver a new way of thinking and new ways of learning for students whilst delivering a range of business and hospitality courses. With degrees including a Masters of Hotel Management, Bachelor of Business in Hospitality Management and Undergrad certificates in Hotel Management, Tourism and Hospitality Operations, ICHM educates a diverse range of domestic and international student cohorts.

Partnering with major hospitality venues and corporations such as Hyatt, IHG, Accor and TFE, ICHM students receive the most recent and relevant training and expertise to prepare them for real life scenarios in the industry.

Working closely with Liquid Design and ICHM Adelaide staff, Workspace provided a range of furniture solutions for ICHM's teaching studios, hospitality training spaces, open area workstations and all social areas nooks in-between.

Whyalla Secondary College

Whyalla Secondary College

The new $100+ Million state-of-the-art secondary college in Whyalla has raised the bar for educational construction and fit-outs. Designed to accommodate over 1500 students in years 7 to 12, including over 50 inclusive spaces for students with disabilities, the new Whyalla Secondary College combines the three existing government high schools in the region.

Key to the design was the input from local students and educators and community members, who all contributed ideas on what the school should include. In response, the design embraces the history of the existing schools, simultaneously creating an exciting, contemporary facility with a strong sense of identity.

Uni SA Allied Health Offices

Uni SA Allied Health Offices

Workspace extends their expertise in the office and educational segments through providing furniture to the University of South Australia for their new fit out. The School of Health Sciences main office has recently been renovated with soft colours and themes throughout. Workspace working closely in conjunction with the University and Grieve Gillett Andersen, provided a range of office workstations and screen solutions which promote individual working spaces for times where social distancing is required. The soft curves of the Arc screen promotes privacy and soundless acoustic working, whilst the length of each promotes communication between adjacent workstations. The soft upholstered HL3 chairs promote comfortable practical seating solutions.

Federation University - Gippsland Innovation Centre

Federation University - Gippsland Innovation Centre

Federation University recently underwent an extreme transformation with their newly built Morwell Innovation center. The center is set to be a hub of collaboration between researchers, educators and local industry to help shape an exciting future for Gippsland and the Latrobe Valley. The Centre is located at the Hi-Tech Precinct Gippsland On Monash Way, Morwell,  and is intended to support businesses to transition away from economic reliance on traditional industries and out of the COVID-19 pandemic.

St Aloysius College

St Aloysius College

Workspace had the pleasure of fitting out the St Aloysius College recent redevelopment with a range of bespoke educational and office furniture pieces. Leading the educational furniture space, Workspace provided a range of bespoke pieces for use within the general assembly area. Custom wooden boxed seating, bean bags and Hive ottomans make for a cozy but intuitive playing area for the students. Combining the tones and colours from the schools design with the textures and patterns within the furniture creates a seamless look which is both aesthetically pleasing and practical.
