The new Department of Education NSW office implemented the first totally open plan office design for the HR division with a variety of formal and informal support and meeting spaces to support their new collaborative work processes.

References to the core mission and values of the HR division within the Deptartment of Education NSW were integrated in to the design with school references such as hand print film on glass graphics and colourful coat hooks in a feature wall at the entries alluding to class rooms and children. Historical references to Blacktown were investigated and also incorporated in to the new design via feature graphics in meeting rooms and staff breakout areas to tie the fit out in to its locality.

Home Loan Experts are a dynamic, young team with a back office in Nepal. The brief was to connect the two offices by bringing ‘Nepal’ to the Rhodes fitout. This was created through the use of large full-wall graphics of photos from Nepal, with some of the photos taken by one of the Nepalese staff who is also a keen photographer.

For a leading private property group, the fit-out was to embody ‘building, solid, past, future, prosperity, and high performance’. Translated in the built form through the incorporation of a key component in construction, the I Beam! The literal interpretation resulted in ‘purity and simplicity’ exemplifying the client’s core values and brief.

Workspace was proud to be involved with the recent Swinburne University of Technology – Hawthorn Campus fit out in Victoria. This bold, modern fit out for the Engineering Building on Level 6 features a variety of our products including M-Collection for their storage solution, Strike Chair, Axis Chair and our Track Desks with Network screens.

Located in Rosebery, New South Wales, the administration team at UNSW Global recently moved into their new office. The 2,500sqm workplace was successfully converted the previous ‘rabbit warren’ site filled with enclosed offices and working spaces devoid of natural light into an open office space where even the CEO opted for an open workstation. The space is now a light-filled open plan environment offering a central collaboration space, quiet rooms, varied meeting room options and large staff break-out areas for each floor.

Headspace Adelaide is a free and confidential service where young people aged between 12 and 25 can access qualified youth mental health professionals. The headspace Adelaide Primary Platform offers short-term, early intervention counselling support for young people going through a tough time or worried about their mental health.

Workspace supplied and installed all the workstations, loose furniture, fixing and equipment.

The First Mortgage Services fit out consisted of large open plan work areas to accommodate 130+ staff. Maximising natural light and utilising efficient furniture designs, several practical areas were created including: team buzz areas, quiet rooms, meeting spaces, boardrooms, utility areas and a large breakout space looking onto the parklands creating an inviting work environment for the FMS team.

With a brief for a warm, calm and welcoming interior scheme, the fit out for the Uniting Church Head Office in South Australia delivered a sophisticated and restrained fit out. The front of house areas are brought to life with the warmth of the paneled timber veneer, textured carpet and woven wall cladding. A subtle but fresh tonal colour palate carries from the reception area throughout the building bringing the building together in one coherent scheme.
