In chair design their score is a total product of more that 3,500,000. Lucci & Orlandini say that ‘our designs sell and last’. The products designed are usually simple to manufacture and simple to use. The cost of materials and labour are both important design factors. Their work is not limited to the creation of a new shape. They cover the whole span of the design process including prototyping & dealing with the suppliers. Their work ends only when manufacturing begins.
