SALES/PROJECT CONSULTANT – SA

 Workspace Furniture is a national manufacturer and supplier of a quality range of systems and commercial furniture. We have a vacancy available within our Canberra Sales Team who due to progressive growth has become a significant commercial furniture supplier within the Canberra Marketplace.

The successful applicant must have outstanding interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to present to key prospects as will the participation in business developmental activities. Experience in key account management along with working directly with our customers to achieve their office furniture fit-out requirements. This role will also work closely with architects, interior designers, commercial builders and end users alike. Possessing a high energy level, with plenty of drive and a definite customer service focus, you also will be responsible for the achievement of sales budgets. In addition, you will:

  • Proactively target new accounts, build relationships, provide product presentations and exceed client requirements.
  • Effective delivery account management to existing clients and projects requirements.
  • Be able to confirm the accuracy of proposed installations and other specifications with the clients, prior to creating an order.
  • Deliver a high level of project management fundamentals (mark up’s, take off’s, ordering and delivery / installation coordination)
  • Be a lateral and logical thinker, able to work without supervision.
  • Possess a high-energy level with plenty of drive

Previous experience in commercial product specification, sales and/or furniture is preferred but not essential.

An attractive remuneration incentive package including Base Salary, Car Allowance, Commission etc. is available and negotiable.

Furniture Loader / Delivery Assistant 

Workspace Commercial Furniture presents an opportunity for a person to load our Commercial Systems and Office Furniture onto trucks and get involved with the delivery of this type of furniture.
The successful applicant should be fit and healthy. Previous experience in furniture loading is preferable and the holder of a current driver’s licence is necessary.

At times this position offers an opportunity to see our clients first hand; therefore an appropriate disposition is essential.

Maintenance Fitter

Workspace Commercial Furniture is a national manufacturer and supplier of a quality range of systems and commercial furniture. We have a vacancy available for a Maintenance Fitter to join our Production Team based at Melrose Park. The skills/duties include but not limited to:

 Machine fault finding and repairs, immediate and long term

  • Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance
  • Welding and Light Fabrication work
  • Record keeping in accordance with our Quality Assurance requirements

In this role you will be responsible for general mechanical maintenance that includes mechanical repair on a day to day basis as well as ensuring downtime is minimized. In addition, you will develop and implement systems that will maximise the efficiency of and minimise cost of utilities. You will also recommend and develop initiatives that will enhance productivity, efficiency and profitability of the plant.

To apply for this role, you will need to be a Qualified Fitter and Turner, or similar, with experience in a maintenance role preferably within a manufacturing environment. You will be self-motivated, flexible in hours as workload demand changes and possess excellent time management. Some electrical experience would be advantageous but not essential.
